ChristClear (C.Clear) aka R.A.G.E.
From the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, to the land flowing with milk & honey of Houston, Christ Clear emerged with a mandate from God. Taking the Gospel to the streets in a radical form, impacting the generation and the young at heart with a passion like no other. In one song she writes, "it's not a game, it's a way of life, knee deep in it. Takin it to da streets, I'm reppin Jesus". And so it begins... the life, the journey, and the mandate of C.Clear.
As a youngster in New Orleans, Louisiana, Christ Clear (C.Clear), born Christine E. Carter, realized she had a way with words. From poems to rap, the gift was undeniable. But, without any guidance she gave her gift to the world. Days away from signing a contract with a local rap label she realized that she couldn't let her mom listen to the songs she wrote. She recounts, "it was unimaginable to have my mom and younger siblings sitting on the front row at a concert and listen to what I was rapping about. I had too much respect for them". These are just a few of the adjectives that have been used to describe Lauren Ashley – a 16 year-old talented vocalist who hails from Houston, TX. Ashley began singing way before she hit puberty, but little did her family know that this little girl, by the age of 14, would demonstrate vocal abilities not heard since the discovery of Whitney Houston.
Lauren-Ashley is the total package – talent, looks and style, not only as a recording industry artist but also for movies, and television appearances. Her attributes do not stop at her visual presence, as a music artist, Lauren- Ashley has performed across all genres captivating audiences in the Pop, Rhythm and Blues, Country, Contemporary Gospel, and Broadway Musical categories.
Lauren-Ashley began her vocal instruction at the age of 9 through One True Voice under the vocal instructor Charles Dotson and also studied under the Banbury School of Voice with Kent Banbury.
In March 2009, Lauren-Ashley released her first full scale independent EP “Heart Of A Star” and released her first single Ambulance. Lauren-Ashley recently peaked at #3 on the Billboard Charts under Hot Singles Sales and #4 under the R&B/HipHop Sales category.
