Reverend Paul Jones, Founder and Pastor of Greater New Grove Missionary Baptist Church located at 7311 E. Mount Houston Rd. in the Northeast area of Houston, Texas.
This 29 year old pastor is the son of the proud parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse James Jones, Sr. He was born October 13, 1960. He is a graduate of Sam Houston High School and he also attended two years at Bishop College in Dallas, Texas.
Pastor Jones was called to the ministry on April 15, 1976 and organized his church on November 23, 1981. The Lord is blessing him tremendously, as he approaches the 9th year anniversary of his church where the membership is over 1,900 people.
Rev. Jones has been called “God’s Man with a Vision”. The anointed powerful preacher and Word teacher recorded his first live album over two years ago at a standing room only concert at Brentwood Baptist Church. It is constantly making the best seller charts at local radio stations and record stores, with the title cut “I Won’t Complain”. He has also recorded with other music artists, and was featured on two songs on the Gospel Fellowship Workshop album.
He has appeared on the Bobby Jones Television Show in Nashville, Tennessee, and as of this year, he recorded a song at a James Cleveland Gospel Workshop of America in Washington D.C.
Nevertheless, Pastor Jones and Greater New Grove Church family are on the move for Christ. A broadcast of his preaching services is aired every Sunday on Radio KWWJ, 1360am at 5:00pm and you can also hear him on 1360AM every Monday thru Friday from 11:45a.m. to 12:00noon spreading the gospel throughout the City of Houston. Pastor Jones loves helping people, teaching the Word, and letting them know that you must get your soul saved and get it right with God, and that this thing is REAL, and also that the Word of God can save you and keep you if you want to be kept. Because of the rapid growth in membership at Greater New Grove, our plans are to build a new sanctuary in the near future at the present location, with the help of the good Lord whom we give all Praises, Honor, and Glory. He’s taking us higher and higher.
He stunned the nation with “I Won’t Complain” which caused his music ministry to soar to the top in achieving such awards as: “Outstanding Male Vocalist of the Year” in Houston Texas polled by the listening audience presented through KWWJ-Gospel 1360AM, Rev. Darrell Martin, General Manager. Rev. Jones also recorded with the Dallas Fort-Worth Mass Choir accompanied by Rev. Milton Biggham and with the GMWA 1990 along with V. Michael McKay and Kathy Taylor, both native Houstonians.

We have just completed a studio session where we are in the process of releasing material from the Late Rev. Paul Jones that has never been heard before, “new unreleased material”. We decided to give you a sample of what his new album would be like on the new release titled, “The Offer Still Stands”, a sermon accompanied by three selections. The new version of “I Won’t Complain”, will take you to higher heights, “He’s My Savior” written by Michael Wright, is brand new and has so much of a message to the audience, and “Call Him” also written by Michael Wright, has been extended and remixed with a choir, contemporary feel to it.
